This project started from recalling the memory from childhood, I wanted to bring back the CD Player with modern technology.
How might we redesign the analog CD player for
today’s digital generation by integrating modern technology while
maintaining its nostalgic value and minimalistic aesthetic?

The research began with a study of existing CD players and other analog products like record players and cassette decks that are loved by users to this day.
Then moved on to analyzing the inner components of the CD player to understand its engineering and mechanical layout. This technical exploration informed the integration of modern features like USB-C charging and a rechargeable lithium battery.

Main exploration: The Stand design
Rather than treating it as an accessory, I designed it as an extension of the body.
The stand defines how the object sits, faces the user, and occupies space.
I considered form and posture to ensure it felt intentional within a space.
